“The heavens are telling the glory of God, and the firmament proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night declares knowledge.

“There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard; yet their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.

“In the heavens he has set a tent for the sun, which comes out like a bridegroom from his wedding canopy, and like a strong man runs its course with joy. Its rising is from the end of the heavens and its circuit to the end of them, and nothing is hid from its heat.

“The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the decrees of the Lord are sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is clear, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever; the ordinances of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey, and drippings of the honeycomb.

“Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. But who can detect one’s own errors? Clear me from hidden faults. Keep back your servant also from the insolent; do not let them have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless and innocent of great transgression.

The Heavens tell the Glory of God

God’s Word is not found locked up in the Bible, or any other book. God is alive, so His Word is dynamic and must be obtained directly from the source. It does come to us from the Heavens, specifically from the Spiritual Sun.

A Tent for the Sun

This paragraph, along with the previous one, are telling us that the Word of God is coming to us from the Sun. Yet it comes with no words and no voice. The Word of god comes in symbols recognized only by the Spirit. Nothing is hid from the heat of the sun, and nothing is hid from the Word of God that comes to us through the sun. But if we do not make the effort to awaken and develop our spiritual faculties, that Light cannot be absorbed by our spirit.

God’s Law is Perfect

God’s Law is perfect, and it does revive the Soul. The spirit must be awakened and developed first, then eventually, with the absorption of enough of God’s Light, it becomes a conscious Soul. This gift from God is greater than gold or any earthly treasure, since earthly treasure is only useful to the mortal body, not the eternal Soul.

Clear Me from Hidden Faults

It is hard for us to see our own faults, so it is proper to pray to God to help us recognize and overcome those faults. We must also ask God to protect us from the dark forces and beings that dominate the physical world.
